About
About ME
Welcome.
Most people experience difficulties at some point in their life. Challenges can make us feel overwhelmed and unhappy, and there is only so much our family and friends can do to support us.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for the individuals to explore their experiences and become fully aware of who they are. Psychotherapy is a process of lasting, beneficial changes where old views of ourselves dissolve and where we discover more of our incredible potential.
My personal experiences with race, culture, religion, and other intersecting challenges shape and inform my work. I am also a member of the British Association for African and Asian Therapists Network (BAATN), an organisation dedicated to advancing mental health care and providing essential resources to ethnic minorities across the UK.
My Approach to therapy
At the core of my therapeutic approach is the belief that the relationship between client and therapist is fundamental to healing and growth.
My practice is holistic and tailored to each individual, drawing upon a rich blend of psychodynamic, existential, humanistic, and transpersonal perspectives. I incorporate a variety of tools, including working with dreams, creative imagination, visualisations, and drawings, to deepen self-awareness and exploration. Additionally, I use sandtray therapy, a powerful tool that allows for the expression and integration of both conscious and unconscious memories.
I work both in English and French.
Experience
In addition to my private practice, I have extensive experience in the voluntary sector and have worked for charities such as HomeStart, Maytree, The Caravan, Women and Health, FreshStart and FreshSteps. I have also worked as a school counsellor in two independent schools in central London.
